Miss Kiss Kids, Inc. is a multi-media production company dedicated to the creation of premium children’s entertainment. Miss Kiss launched the first of its cartoon licenses in the spring of 2005, with the first of three book publications for the series, “JP, Joe and the Dandylion Bike,” entitled, “Flub-a-Dub-Chub and the Sleepwalking Martian.” The launch was accompanied by a book signing at Marshall Field’s flagship store in Chicago (now Macy’s), and became the most successful local-author book signing in the history of Marshall Field’s. Retail distribution grew to include Barnes and Noble nationwide, Amazon.com and a handful of independent retailers between Chicago and the eastern seaboard.
In the fall of 2005, Miss Kiss launched it’s first-ever national standards-approved lesson plan to accompany “Flub-a-Dub-Chub and the Sleepwalking Martian,” and has integrated the book/lesson plan duo into curricula in classrooms spanning five states.
In the summer of 2006, the City of Chicago and Millennium Park, in sponsorship with Target Corporation, hosted a three day “Dandylion Bike Derby” event in Millennium Park - the only of it’s kind - where children from across Chicago built and raced their own “superhero mobiles.”
In 2007, Miss Kiss entered into a license agreement with a local Chicago restaurant owner to open the first “Flub-a-Dub-Chub’s Hotdog Emporium,” the theme of which is based on the first book publication. “Flubby’s” celebrated it’s official ribbon cutting in February 2008 and has quickly become a neighborhood favorite.
One of Miss Kiss’ focuses for 2009-2010 includes the “Quite a Character” kids personalized gifts initiative - where parents, aunts, uncles and friends are invited to forever capture their favorite children in unique apparel for kids. Using our streamlined online order processing platform, children’s images are transformed into cheerful cartoon characters and memorialized on t-shirts for the children to enjoy. This unique apparel line has proven to be a delightful gift idea for birthdays, holidays, milestones and special events.
